If you’re looking for a dog overflowing with personality, playfulness, and pure Boston Terrier charm, Leo might be the perfect match for you! This energetic 5½‑year‑old boy is exuberant in all the best ways and believes toys are life. If it squeaks, rolls, or bounces, Leo is instantly smitten.

⭐ What Leo Needs

Leo thrives in an active home where he can channel his enthusiasm into play, exercise, and fun. Because his excitement can get the best of him, he’s looking for a home without young children, as his rambunctious bursts of joy may be overwhelming for little ones.

He’ll benefit from consistent, gentle boundary training to help him manage his low excitement threshold and occasional dominant tendencies. He’s a smart, willing learner—he just needs someone who can guide him with calm, steady leadership.

Leo & Other Dogs

Leo needs time to decompress and settle into his new environment before meeting any resident pets. That adjustment period is critical for him. After he’s comfortable, introductions should be slow, structured, and intentional—and we’re more than happy to guide you through the process.

While he previously lived with other Bostons and Frenchies and reportedly did well, he has shown some dominant behaviors since coming into rescue. Because of this, Leo may do best as an only dog (note that he much prefers female doggie friends to males). That said, with consistent training and clear direction, we believe he could adjust to living with other dogs.

❤️ His Softer Side

While Leo is full of energy and excitement, he also has a wonderfully sweet, affectionate side. Once he’s finally tired out and his brain has quieted, he loves nothing more than snuggling up for a good cuddle. Those cozy moments are where his gentle heart really shines.

Why Leo Is Worth It

Leo is joyful, spirited, and endlessly entertaining. With the right balance of structure, activity, and decompression time, he’ll become an incredibly loyal companion who keeps you laughing—and melts into your lap when the day winds down.

If you’re ready for a playful, toy-loving, cuddle-ready best friend, Leo is waiting in North Texas with a full vetting history and a whole lot of love to give.
